The point guard position for Brooklyn is without a doubt the one that needs most work. A lot of the Nets problems came for the PG position last season because of various reasons, but there are plenty of options for Sean Marks and his team to look at.

The Brooklyn Nets currently have:

Jarrett Jack – Injured most of last season with a torn ACL in December. Jack has a team option. If the Nets keep him, they will owe him $6.3 million and if they let him go, their exposure drops to $500,000. For Brooklyn this seems a full gone conclusion.

Shane Larkin – Didn’t manage to fill the postion left by Jack, a few flashes but nothing consistent enough. Will be opting out of his deal maybe to get a longer one with Brooklyn but most likely elsewhere.

Donald Sloan – Not who you want as a starting PG, he is an unrestricted FA and will most likely want to come back. However, if Brooklyn draft a PG or trade for one you would only want him as backup and not starting.

This shows the terrible need for Brooklyn to go into the market and find one be it trading, draft or Free Agency.  I’ve complied a list of FIVE point guards the Nets could target to get the position back on track.
