One word to describe his season: Inconsistent
Bojan Bogdanovic has been terribly inconsistent so far this season. The 26-year-old Croatian was expected to be a crucial part in the Nets success this season, and just as the Nets have struggled, so has Bogdanovic.
Through a seven game stretch earlier in the season, which saw multiple quality games from Bogdanovic, he averaged 14.2 points per game, including a 22 point outing in the Nets first win of the season at Houston. He then followed that up with an eight game stretch where he averaged just 3.5 points per game. That does a good job of summing up Bojan’s inconsistency.
Bogdanovic was also advertised as a shooter when he made the transition into the NBA last offseason, but so far this season, on a team that’s starving for consistent perimeter shooting, he is shooting just 30% from three point range. The Nets need Bogdanovic to shoot better from three to help win more games, and Bogdanovic needs to shoot better from three in order to stay on the floor.
Now that rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is out indefinitely with an ankle injury, Bogdanovic has been given the first shot at getting his starting spot. It’s imperative for both Bojan and the Nets that he plays well enough to secure it.
