Welcome to the newly relaunched From Russia with Dunk, the New Jersey Nets site in Fansided’s sports blog network.
Starting today, I’ll be guiding Nets fans through what should be a fascinating 2010-11 season. As the Nets’ marketing campaign states, it’s all about fresh faces this year after last season’s flirtation with infamy. Changes to this year’s personnel include the owner, general manager, head coach, three assistant coaches and as many as 11 players. The Nets are also breaking in new digs, leaving East Rutherford’s Meadowlands for the Prudential Center in downtown Newark.
For a number of reasons, this promises to be an intriguing season in the history of the Nets. A new era has truly begun and anyone following the team this year can say they were there from the beginning. I’ll be writing throughout the week, so be sure to check back often. I’ll do my best to offer all the latest news, game recaps and analysis, as well my take on some of the bigger picture items facing the organization and some fun stuff, like live game blogs and columns about the Nets and the rest of the NBA.
I hope that visiting this site will enhance the way Nets fans follow the team and that everyone will feel free to join in the discussion through the site’s comments section.
Nets fans have needed a fresh start and we’ve certainly got that this season. I can’t wait to get rolling.
