Nets week in review: Red-hot Mavericks continue streak over Nets

The scorching-hot Dallas Mavericks continued their winning ways over the Nets with a 102-89 win in former Mavericks coach Avery Johnson’s return to Dallas.

The win was Dallas’ 11th in a row at home against New Jersey and its 11th straight win overall as the team improved to 18-4.

Dirk Nowitzki led the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Terry and Caron Butler chipped in 18 and 15 points off the bench and Caron Butler added 15.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Anthony Morrow scored 21 and Kris Humphries finished with a double-double, contributing 16 points and 13 rebounds against his former team.

Devin Harris left the game after just nine minutes after suffering a sprained shoulder while landing awkwardly on his arm after jumping to deflect a pass headed for the low post.

Damion James made his first start of his career in place of the struggling Travis Outlaw, but broke his foot during the game. He will require surgery to fix the injury.
