Looking at the Nets’ schedule, I think a great name for this upcoming stretch is “Salvation Week.” At 6-18, the Nets have been in almost every game this year, but just haven’t won very many. With home dates against the Sixers and Wizards and a trip to Toronto the next three items on the docket, the Nets finally have a chance to make an upward move in the standings.
After getting off to a painfully slow start, the Sixers have won five of their last seven and stand at 8-15, ahead of the Nets in the Atlantic Division. Philadelphia defeated New Jersey 102-86 in the two teams’ previous matchup this season on November 27.
