Nets week in review: Loss to Sixers leads to players’ meeting

After a 3-13 start, the Philadelphia 76ers have righted the ship while the Nets have yet to experience any positive turning point in their season. The Sixers’ 82-77 win over the Nets on Tuesday led to Devin Harris calling the team together to try to straighten out their dismal season.

The biggest blow to the Nets occurred before the game, however, as Anthony Morrow landed awkwardly during, of all things, a chest bump during pre-game introductions. Morrow suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the next 2-3 weeks.

Jrue Holiday and Spencer Hawes led the Sixers with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Elton Brand scored 15 points and Jodie Meeks added 12.

Brook Lopez led five Nets in double figures with 16 points. Devin Harris and Travis Outlaw each had 14 points, while Jordan Farmar and Derrick Favors each had 10 points. The Nets shot just 34 percent on their way to their 19th loss of the season.
