Looking to get 2011 started on the right foot, the Nets stumbled against the lowly Timberwolves in a 103-88 loss in Minnesota.
Kevin Love, the double-double machine, finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Minnesota shot over 50 percent from the field and knocked down 7-of-16 3-pointers it attempted.
Sasha Vujacic had a spectacular game off the bench, hitting nine of his 16 shots and leading the Nets with 22 points. Travis Outlaw contributed 17 points and Devin Harris added 16.
