The 10 Most Intriguing Games on the Nets Schedule

facebooktwitterreddit

In this article, I will look at which games I find to be most intriguing and interesting on the Brooklyn Nets’ newly released schedule. The games will be rated based on date and not importance, meaning that even though the Christmas game against Boston may be one of the most important, it may not be at the top of this list. Enjoy!

Thursday, November 1st vs. New York Knicks (TNT)

This is obviously a huge game as it will be the home opener in Brooklyn and a game against the Knicks. Every Nets-Knicks game this year is going to be intense. Read more about this game here.

Wednesday, November 7th at Miami Heat

This will be an early season test for the Nets against the defending NBA champions on the road. The Nets will show how high a level they can compete at in this game.

Sunday, November 11th vs. Orlando Magic

This is the second game of a home-and-home with the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard. This game will be very awkward for Howard and the Magic, assuming that Howard is still on the team. I am interested to see what the crowd’s reaction will be.

Thursday, November 15th vs. Boston Celtics (TNT)

This is another early season test for the Nets in prime time. This will also be an important battle for the Atlantic Division crown.

Thursday, December 25th vs. Boston Celtics (ESPN)

This will be the Nets’ first Christmas Day game in who knows how long. I can’t wait to see the Nets play in an important game that everybody will be watching.

Wednesday, January 16th at Atlanta Hawks

This game is Joe Johnson’s return to Atlanta. I don’t think he will receive a very good reception, but we will see. This will also give us a chance to see many Nets from last season’s team like Anthony Morrow and Jordan Farmar.

Sunday, February 10th vs. San Antonio Spurs (ESPN)

This will be a test against the NBA’s best regular season team last season. It will also be in primetime on ESPN. This will be the battle of the black-and-white teams.

Wednesday, March 20th at Dallas Mavericks (ESPN)

Deron Williams will surely get booed in this game as he returns home to Dallas. He turned down the Mavericks to come to Brooklyn, and the Mavs might not even make the playoffs next season now. Dallas fans can’t wait for this game.

Saturday, March 30th at Utah Jazz

This game will be the end of a very long road trip and it will be Deron’s second return to Salt Lake City. I don’t think he will get a very good reception.

Thursday, April 4th vs. Chicago Bulls (TNT)

This game will be especially interesting because it will be in primetime and Derrick Rose will probably be back from his injury at this time. We will get a good look at how the Chicago Bulls will look in the playoffs.
