Preview: Brooklyn Nets vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Tonight , the Brooklyn Nets finish their long trip against the Milwaukee Bucks. Most of the games on this trip were in the west and tonight the Nets head north. So far on this trip, the Nets have been in a win, loss, win, loss pattern. If the Nets win tonight, it will be their second win in a row. In addition, the Nets now have a 3-2 record on this trip and if they win tonight, this trip would be a success. The Bucks might be the worst team in the league and their record is the worst in the NBA. A win would bring the Nets closer to Toronto for the Atlantic Division lead.

The bad news for Brooklyn is that Kevin Garnett will not play tonight due to back spasms. In replacement, Mason Plumlee will get the start. This will not be the rookie’s first start this season. Livingston is certainly long enough to defend Antetokounmpo and good enough to take advantage of Antetokounmpo’s youth and inexperience on the defensive end.

Joe Johnson vs Khris Middleton. Advantage: Johnson

Middleton would only be a starter for a team as bad as Milwaukee.

Since the Nets will be without Garnett and they are a small team even when he is on the court, Milwaukee will have a big advantage in the paint: collecting rebounds and getting scoring opportunities near the basket.
