Barclays Center Has Bizarre Meditation Room

According to the New York Times, the Barclays Center has a small room for meditation because developers had promised to build such a room during their negotiations before they started work on the arena.  This room is pathetic and confusing to the fans who go to Nets games.  The room does not look good and its ceiling is missing some tiles.

There was a ceremony to open the room and Bruce Ratner, director of the developers explained, “Among this busyness and this craziness, you do need some time that you come and just … relax and see words like ‘love,’ ‘rejoice,’ ‘forgive’ and remember why we’re here.”

One fan said told the press:  “The only time I would have used it was the game we blew to Toronto, when Deron Williams made that stupid pass into the backcourt, then I would have needed to meditate.”  The room is on the first floor of the stadium and it is possible to hear the noise from the basketball arena from the room.

היה טקס כדי לפתוח את החדר וברוס רטנר, המנהל של המפתחים הסביר: “בכל העסקנות וטרוף, אתם באמת צריכים זמן שאתם באים וסתם…הרגעים ורואים מילות כמו ‘אהבה’, ‘לשמוח’, ‘לסלוח’, ולזכור למה אתם חיים.”

אוהד אחת אמר לעתונאים: “הפעם היחיד שאני אולי הייתי משתמש בחדר היה אחרי שאנו הפסדנו לטורוטו, מתי שדרון וויליאמס עושה את השגיאה טיפשה להעביר את הכדור לאחורי המגרש. בזמן הזה, אולי הייתי צריך לעשות מדיטציה.” החדר נמצא בקומה ראשונה של האצטדיון ויכוליות לשמוע את הרעש של המשחקים בחדר המדיטציה. באמת, החדר כבר מושתמש כמו חדר אחסון
