Coach: Lionel Hollins: Grade B

The one thing Lionel Hollins has shown through the first half of this season is that he will do whatever it takes to win. If he feels that bringing two of his max contract players off of the bench is going to help the team win he’ll do it. Hollins is an old school coach and he isn’t afraid to call out his team, he even called Brook Lopez ‘Lazy’ at one point. Hollins has experimented with numerous different starting lineups this season and whatever is working Hollins tends to stick with.

The Nets are 17-24 and eighth in the Eastern Conference and Hollins team still hasn’t reached it’s full potential yet. The Nets are a team that live and die by the three and the three ball wasn’t falling for Brooklyn too often early on in the season. The Nets were as bad as 10-21 last year before they started to gel and they ended up finishing as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, so there is still time for Hollins group to turn things around. Gregg Popovich said that the Nets are going to be a monster this season and Pop usually isn’t wrong so we’ll see what happens during the second half of the 2014-2015 season.
