Deron Williams came into the season feeling great about himself, but unfortunately the injury bug hit Williams yet again this season. Williams had his moments even winning Eastern Conference Player of the week early on in the season, but Williams was inconsistent and he was eventually moved to the bench and Jarrett Jack took his place as the starter. Williams remains out indefinitely with a fractured rib and with Williams absence Jack has been forced to play a hefty amount of minutes and it’s starting to take a toll on him.

The Nets will need a healthy and productive D-Will during the second half of the season and despite their losing ways the weak Eastern Conference still leaves hope for the Nets. The Nets are currently the eighth seed in the East and if Williams gets it going they can continue to rise up in the standings.
