5. Brook Lopez is still not an outside shooter

This offseason, it has been widely known that Brook Lopez now has the green light to shoot threes. However, he has been awful so far in the preseason from downtown. He was 0 for 2 against the Pistons, and he didn’t even try against the Sixers. Even though Lopez has shown glimpses of being an outside shooter in the past, he is still not ready to take on that role. For now, the Nets should be happy that he can still dominate in the paint and create for others with his post skills. Lopez will do fine in his current role, so there should be no reason to put him too far outside of his comfort zone.
