Mario Chalmers is a seasoned veteran in this league. At 30-years-old, he is the oldest guy on this short list. However, he is easily the most experienced of the bunch when it comes to winning. Chalmers spent seven seasons with the Miami Heat, where he started 383 games and won two NBA championships. While he was never considered a key part of those Heat teams with the “big three,” Chalmers gained quite a bit of experience and has had notable success in the league.

Last season, Chalmers found a lot of personal success after being dealt to the Memphis Grizzlies just six games into the season. He played 55 games with the Grizzlies and averaged a solid 10.8 points and 3.8 assists per game off the bench. However, his season was unfortunately cut short due to a torn achilles suffered in early March.

Chalmers is not a low-risk, high-reward type guy that many of the players on this list are. However, with the lack of strong point guard options, Chalmers could be a guy the Nets look to as a stopgap point guard until they find their franchise guy. As a player with a championship pedigree and a wealth of experience running a team, you could do worse than Mario Chalmers on a relatively cheap contract.
