Conley is an elite offensive point guard and is a surprise not to have been a All-star at some point. He is averaging 15.3 PPG and 6.1 APG and would have been a starter for a playoff team for six seasons come the end of this year.

But he is coming up on ‘contract’ year and he wants to get paid. Conley will be able to command a max contract wherever he goes but seems to be interested in the ‘big’ apple. Conley makes less than $10 million this year and with the increased salary cap and shortage of point guards, he should double that number this summer. The Nets of course can offer him that.

The Nets could do a lot worse and is someone who would fit in to a position the Nets need help with.

All of these are players that could be worth a shot for Marks. Some are cost-effective, some have more potential and some are a risky choice due to many factors. Either way, Marks will have to pull the trigger on someone because the Nets can’t go into next season with the same point guard lineup.
