2. Jordan Clarkson

The Los Angeles Lakers found a steal with their second-round draft pick Jordan Clarkson. He was selected by the Washington Wizards with 46th pick of the 2014 draft, but he was traded to the Lakers later that night.

He’s been a breakout player in his first two years of NBA action, averaging 15.5 points this season as well as 4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. The restricted free agent will be seeking a higher pay-day this summer. Clarkson made a little over $845,000 last season, so we know he will definitely be making more come next season.

Although he has put up some solid numbers in his first two seasons in the NBA, one has to think, does Clarkson have star potential or is he just a guy putting up good numbers on a bad team?

The Lakers were one of the league’s worst teams last season, but Clarkson was a bright spot. If the Nets want him they’ll have to outbid the Lakers for him. Clarkson is a restricted free agent, which means the Lakers can match any qualifying offer another team puts on the table for him.

He’s viewed as one of the Laker’s building blocks in their process to create a championship team again. It won’t be an easy task to try to steal Clarkson from Los Angeles. However, these are the kind of players the Nets may need to target, the restricted free agents that they must outbid other teams. Clarkson may be a coveted free agent to the Lakers, but the Nets should at least try to snag a guy like Clarkson.
