1 . Evan Fournier

If there’s one thing that the Nets looked to find all of last season, it was shooting. They were atrocious from behind the three-point last season before bringing in renowned shooting coach, David Nurse.

Evan Fournier is a restricted free agent, it makes me wonder if the Nets will at least make a bid for him. Fournier is a guy who I got a chance to look at closely last season. I saw the Magic play plenty of times and watched a plethora of Orlando games last season. All of last season I was keeping a close eye on Fournier knowing that the Nets’ backcourt would be would need an upgrade, and that he would be a restricted free agent come this offseason.

Like I said previously about Jordan Clarkson, restricted free agents are the kind of players Brooklyn must target.  All they must do is outbid their current team for their rights. Fournier had a very strong start to the season, but wasn’t really able to keep his hot streak going until the middle of April.

However, he ended the season with solid numbers, averaging 15.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Fournier only made around $2,290,000 last season, and it seems he’s well overdue for a nice pay-day. The Nets can spend the money if they choose to. Orlando seems to be focused developing their very talented young stars, Victor Oladipo and Aaron Gordon.

Can the Nets give Fournier enough money to the point where the Magic let him walk and we see him play in a Brooklyn uniform next season? Certainly.
