The Mario Hezonja of the 2016 draft class. The 18-year-old Korkmaz hasn’t gotten a lot of playing time for the Anadolu Efes in Istanbul, Turkey. An NBA team will gamble on his youth, athleticism, and perimeter shooting.

The Phoenix Suns have three first-round picks and will likely select at least one draft-and-stash prospects. If Bender isn’t available when they pick third overall, they could definitely go with an international player here at 28.

Korkmaz’s frame is very small. As a result of his lack of muscle and size, he doesn’t finish very well in traffic or at the rim because he lacks the strength to finish through contact. He is also an average ball-handler at best, which hinders him from getting to the basket.

Defensively, Korkmaz is an average defender because he gets lazy with his defensive stance. At times, he will not sit down in a stance at all. However, Korkmaz is a terrific shooter (shot 42% from the three-point line in the Euroleague/Turkish league this season) with ideal size for his position, and NBA scouts love shooting guards with Klay Thompson-esque size.
