Henry Sims was awful.

After finishing last season with Brooklyn on a couple of 10-day contracts, Sims got the invite to play in the Summer League with the Nets. And if his play last season wasn’t enough to prove it, Summer League definitely was: Henry Sims is not worth a roster spot.

Sims started all four games he played for the Summer Nets, and he looked completely lost in each one. He consistently got beat defensively, he gave up rebounds simply because of a lack of effort, and was a mess with the ball in his hands. In addition, Sims tried to test his range on the perimeter, and it ended terribly. He shot two three pointers, and neither came remotely close.

It’s hard to put into words how bad Sims truly was. He was nothing other than a tall guy on the floor, and I’d be surprised to see him in training camp with the team.
