1. DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings

Is there a more well-rounded talent in the NBA at the center position than DeMarcus Cousins?

Certainly, his Kings tenure hasn’t been without turmoil, but the Kings change coaches nearly as frequently as people change socks. At some point, one must look above Cousins when assessing the problems that plague the franchise.

Cousins has made the NBA All-Star Game in each of the past two seasons, and is currently playing a big role for Team USA Basketball in Rio.

Cousins averaged a career-high 26.9 points per game last season, to go along with 11.5 rebounds. We’re seeing a bit of what Cousins can do with a talented USA Basketball roster, although it’s a bit skewed due to the level of competition.

Nevertheless, Cousins is a supreme talent. The Kings haven’t done much of anything during his six years, and eventually it would be nice to see Cousins on a team that plays in June. Or at least makes the playoffs.
