Drazen Petrovic

Drazen Petrovic spent just five seasons in the NBA, three with the Nets. During his brief stint with the Nets, he averaged 19.5 points per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field. Despite playing in New Jersey for such a short period of time, he holds the Nets record for three-point field goal percentage, at 43.7 percent. Petrovic’s NBA career was cut short after he died in a car accident at the age of 28.

Petrovic is a three-time Olympic medalist (1984, 1988, 1992), representing Croatia and winning a silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics while with the Nets. He also won a bronze and silver medal with Yugoslavia in 1984 and 1988, respectively.
