Richard Jefferson

Richard Jefferson spent seven seasons with the Nets and was a key part of the 2002 and 2003 Eastern Conference Champion Nets teams. Jefferson was most known for his defensive capabilities and versatility as a player. During his stint with the Nets, he scored a total of 8507 points, the fourth-highest in Nets history. In an interview with SLAM Magazine, Jefferson described just how much he loved playing in New Jersey:

"“My connection to the tri-state area and what we were able to accomplish, if I had the opportunity to go back, even if it was on TV, and just connect with those fans again… they meant so much to me.”"

Jefferson has a bronze medal from participating in the 2004 Athens Olympics as a part of Team USA.
