The longtime-rock for the Nets is often overlooked as a solid NBA player.

In every sense of the word, Lopez has been a rock for the Brooklyn Nets. Lopez averaged worse than 17 points per game only once and averaged worse than 7 rebounds per game only once as well in his eight seasons with the Nets. This is even more impressive when considering that he was playing with different teammates, coaches, and personnel throughout the years.

Due to the Nets poor play over the years, Lopez is overlooked and does not get as much appreciation as he deserves. Regardless of the team’s performance, Lopez deserves to be respected as a solid center in the NBA. Is Lopez a superstar? Not by any means, but he is surely overlooked and underappreciated due to his situation.

With that being said, I feel a #30 ranking is fair for Lopez. He’s not in an elite class, but he plays a game that should be considered that of a top 30 player in the NBA. While the Nets may struggle, you can count on Lopez to deliver consistent and solid numbers over the course of the season.
