NBA Preseason: Ranking the Top 10 players in 2016-2017
A year removed from a lost season, George reassured everyone that he hasn’t lost his touch.
After George gruesomely went down with two leg fractures during the summer of 2014, many speculated that he may never be the same player again.
George quickly put those thoughts to rest. After rehabbing and sitting out during the first 76 games of the 2014-2015 season, George went back to work. This past season, George set career highs in points per game, assists per game, and steals per game, while setting his second best mark in rebounds per game.
Further, he ranked 4th in efficiency out of all small forwards, behind Durant, James, and Leonard.
Now that the Pacers starting lineup has improved with acquisitions of Al Jefferson and Jeff Teague, George may have the opportunity to get his team back to the Eastern Conference Finals.
