Brooklyn Nets point guard Jeremy Lin returned to practice on Tuesday. Lin has only played in 12 games so far this season and has been out of the lineup with a nagging hamstring injury.
After losing 13 consecutive games, the Brooklyn Nets finally have some good news. Jeremy Lin participated in a full practice on Tuesday after missing the team’s last 25 games.
Lin has been nursing a hamstring injury that he had re-injured during his rehab process. To this point in the season, Lin has only played in 12 of the Nets’ 55 games. In those 12 games, Lin is averaging 13.9 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds.
Brian Lewis of the New York Post reported that Kenny Atkinson expects Lin to make his return next Friday against the Denver Nuggets. With the Nets playing their last game before All-Star break on Wednesday, this will give Lin well over a week to get back into shape.

In a press conference after practice, Lin said, “I’m realistic enough to understand that we haven’t had a fair look at what this team is really going to look like. I only played 5 games and then another 5 games, whatever it was, but it’s just such a small sample size.” He followed this with, “When I come back I want to be able to help this team and be what they envisioned me to be.”
This summer, the Brooklyn Nets struggled to recruit players to Brooklyn, considering where they finished last season and their roster. Lin was the one of the best free agents the Nets could convince to come play for their franchise. Lin was coming off a tremendous season as a backup point guard in Charlotte, and the Nets felt he could help fill a position they were lacking in.
