Sean Kilpatrick

Sean Kilpatrick is the eldest of all the players listed in this post, but he still has a lot to offer. Kilpatrick was another one of Sean Marks’ D-League finds. It was also his first. Marks gave Kilpatrick multiple 10-day contracts last season and eventually signed him long-term.

Kilpatrick was the first man up at point guard when Lin went down, but that did not work out too well as Kilpatrick is a shooter, not a point guard. Kilpatrick was, as a result, placed in the shooting guard role for a while.

Kilpatrick has since been sent to the bench, where he is used as one of the first men up. Despite a small decrease in minutes, Kilpatrick has continued to produce. On the season, Kilpatrick is averaging 13.6 points per game and more than four rebounds per game.

Kilpatrick is a scorer and brings energy to the floor. He has shown that he is at his best as a sixth man, but has also shown he can perform as a starter, too. The game against the Los Angeles Clippers was won because of Kilpatrick. He is a great player off of the bench for Brooklyn, but Atkinson may not be using him as much as he should.

There are games where Brooklyn cannot buy a basket as the game is ending and Kilpatrick is on the bench. Kilpatrick has shown us through last year and this year that he deserves quality minutes on this team.
