Deal with the Nuggets for multiple assets

The Denver Nuggets may begin to hold a firesale at the 2017 NBA Trade Deadline, thanks to the fact that their current rebuild has not seemed to be working as of late. Denver has reportedly been gauging interest in young guard Emmanuel Mudiay, as well as swingman Wilson Chandler. In addition, Denver has multiple draft picks in the upcoming years, something that the Nets are looking to pry away from other teams around the league.

More from Nothin' But Nets

A nice piece the Nets could add from Denver is Nikola Jokic. He’s a versatile big man who can run the floor and would fit into Kenny Atkinson’s on-court product and plan. It’s impossible for either side to do an exchange for their big men straight up, though, because of Lopez’s much higher contract.

The Nets could possibly send a package including Sean Kilpatrick and/or Bojan Bogdanovic for Jokic if they trade Lopez elsewhere.

It will be interesting to see if the Nets make a deal with the Nuggets while Lopez’s value seems to be Rocky Mountain High.
