6. Quincy Acy

2016-2017 Season Stats (with Brooklyn): 12 GP, 6.5 PPG, 2.6 RPG, .2 APG

From the first moment Quincy Acy stepped onto the floor as a Brooklyn Net, his energy could be felt. His hustle and work ethic is something that cannot be taught. He was initially brought onto the team through a 10-day contract, but secured a spot on the team for the remainder of the season.

Since getting a deal, Acy has been on the bench fighting through an injury. While he didn’t play as often as fans would like when healthy, he played well when given the chance. His positive attitude and reckless abandon when going for the ball is fun to watch in games.

Acy surprised people when he came into his first game firing from beyond the arc. He showed great three-point range and accuracy, something he was not previously known for. His shooting, paired with the tenacious way that he attacked the offensive boards, made him an instant spark on offense.

The rebounding isn’t only limited to offense; he kept the same aggressive approach while rebounding on defense as well. Although his aggression would sometimes find him committing unnecessary fouls, it is often overlooked because of how hard he works.

Quincy Acy was a good signing for Sean Marks and would have been higher on the list if he wasn’t fighting injuries. There is no doubt that he would have been an X-Factor in some of the close games that he missed. Hopefully he comes back from injury with the same style that got him onto the team and continues to gel with his teammates.
