With the Brooklyn Nets now holding an open roster spot, there’s a chance to target a few free agents or D-League players and see what they can bring to the table. There are plenty of talented players available that can fill the Nets’ needs, so it’ll be interesting to see what Brooklyn does.

Two weeks ago, an unsurprising move was made by the Brooklyn Nets. Sean Marks and the Nets front office decided to part ways with veteran forward Luis Scola. Scola only averaged a little over five points per game, the lowest scoring output of his career, but in Scola’s defense, playing time was sparse.

On another note, thanks to the Nets’ most recent move, they now have one roster spot open. With this, they can do a number of different things: sign a free agent, a D-League player or nothing at all.

However, if the Nets do choose to go the root of putting that final roster spot to good use, there are plenty of players available that could be nice pickups for the team. From D-Leaguers to recently-bought out players looking for a new home, here are five guys the Brooklyn Nets could possibly target to fill their last roster spot.
