Player of the Game

JEREMY LIN. A. Boy, is it a sweet joy to see Jeremy Lin back. The Nets’ starting point guard scored 19 points and dished out eight assists, including the one that helped Brook Lopez become the Nets’ franchise leader in made field goals. With the Nets playing at a relatively high level in the month of March, it only makes fans wonder how good the Nets could’ve been had Lin been healthy all season. But, that just means all the more hope for next season!. PG. Brooklyn Nets

Wildcard

Brooklyn Nets. RONDAE HOLLIS-JEFFERSON. B+. Don’t get too caught up in Rondae Hollis-Jefferson’s field goal shooting. He may have only shot 3-of-13 from the field, but he finished the game with another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Plus, he was able to compound his poor shooting with five out of six made free throws.. SG/SF

I love when I can put the opposing team down for “Up Your Game… Please” because it’s a rare occasion for every Net to have at least a decent game (depending on their minutes and number of shots taken). Contrary to the Nets’ bench in this game, the Hawks’ bench simply could not provide for Atlanta. But is it really any surprise when veteran Jose Calderon has to play 21 minutes as a reserve?.
