Lopez catches the ball on the cut, right inside the three-point line. Whitehead is planted in the mid-paint, blocked out by (potential future teammate) Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. LeVert is still in the corner, and Acy hasn’t moved yet, acting as a floor spacer. While Acy may not have moved on the inbounds, his sheer presence is important. Acy is the best perimeter shooting big man on the Nets, save Lopez. With Acy on the floor, Tobias Harris has to guard the perimeter. The same couldn’t have been said if Rondae Hollis-Jefferson or Trevor Booker was at the four spot with the game on the line.
