Should the Nets have gone after another player instead of Archie Goodwin?

Christian Milcos (@ChristianMilcos): Sean Marks’ decision to pursue Archie Goodwin was a risk going in, as is with most 10-day contracts in March. Luckily, this risk appears to have paid off. After nabbing Sean Kilpatrick, Quincy Acy, K.J. McDaniels and now Goodwin for nothing, it’s hard to doubt any of Marks’ in-season pickups.

Tyler Dencker (@T_Danks_): I mean, I don’t think so. Ultimately, they are just giving a player a chance in their system — which is totally acceptable. We could question their moves all day, but in the end, any player that they bring in could be their next star, and then this wouldn’t be a question at all. No need to overanalyze a team giving a player a chance, whether it is successful or not.

Matt Pisani (@pisannd5): At first, I had little memory of who Archie Goodwin was. Now that he has spent some time here in Brooklyn, he has shown that he can bring it. There are other players the Nets could have possibly gone after, but Sean Marks is all about getting the young player that didn’t have much of a chance and letting the great developer himself, Kenny Atkinson, to work with him and get him to his potential. I will rarely have a problem with Marks taking a chance on anyone because what do you really have to lose, like really?
