Player of the Game

ARCHIE GOODWIN. B+. Archie Goodwin had possibly the best game of his short career with the Nets thus far. He was the only Net who shot higher than 50 percent from the field and finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists. The Nets’ most recent signing was given the opportunity to shine with his most playing time yet (29 minutes), and he rocked it. It’ll be interesting to see if Marks and company decide to keep Goodwin around next season.. PG/SG. Brooklyn Nets

Wildcard

B-. Like other Nets, Caris LeVert struggled shooting from behind the arc on Wednesday night, but his performance was still notable. LeVert scored 10 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field, despite missing all five of his three-point attempts. They’re not exactly eye-popping numbers or anything close to what the Nets really needed from him, but the rookie is poised to turn into a star for Brooklyn, and I’m sure Nets fans can’t wait to see what a full 82-game season will have in store for him.. RANDY FOYE. D. Randy Foye simply could not find his stroke, as he tallied just two points on 1-of-10 shooting from the field and contributed further to the Nets’ woes from long distance (0-of-6 from behind the arc). Foye has served as the starting shooting guard for the Nets since late January, as Brooklyn has stuck with more or less the same starting lineup (give or take the return of an injured point guard). Whether the Nets will continue to use Foye in this fashion or whether Foye will stick around long-term remains to be seen, but he still adds an important veteran presence to a young, emerging Nets team..
