Extra props to Johnson in this one for not only burying the game-winner, but also hitting a shot mere seconds before to keep the Nets competitive. This contest was a prime example of Johnson literally putting the team on his back to carry them to victory. Then-coach Avery Johnson attempted to go to other options such as D-Will in crunch-time, but by the second overtime, it was clear that “Iso-Joe” was the only choice when a bucket was sorely needed.

In the grand scheme of the Nets’ first season in Brooklyn, this win was important. It marked the return of Lopez from a minor injury and holds the honor of being the first buzzer beater at Barclays Center. This victory moved the Nets to 13-9 on the season.

However, following this thrilling win, Brooklyn hit some turmoil. Coach Johnson was fired two weeks later after the team went 1-5 over that timespan. The Nets would go on to finish 49-33, and Johnson averaged 16.3 points per game on the year.

Ranking this shot at the bottom of the list is hardly an insult. Every buzzer beater Johnson hit with the Nets was truly something to behold, and each was important in that moment in time for its own unique reason.
