The NBA Playoffs are in full swing. Unfortunately, the Brooklyn Nets aren’t a part of them.
To help dry your tears, I want you to hop in the time machine with me. It’s going all the way back to their time in New Jersey and as the New York Nets (and Americans), where the now-Brooklyn Nets have had their fair share of terrific playoff moments.

Over their 50 seasons of existence, the Brooklyn (NJ and NY) Nets have made 26 trips to the playoffs and have two championships to show for it, both of which were won during their ABA days. Brooklyn’s last trip to the postseason was as recent as 2015, when they snuck in with an abysmal 38-44 record before the Atlanta Hawks dispatched them in six games.
They’ve gone to the Finals as recently as 2002 and 2003, which was their deepest run since the Julius Erving-led teams of the mid-1970s.
