Free Agent centers for the Brooklyn Nets to consider

Greg Monroe
Greg Monroe showed the basketball community that location was not a top priority when he spurned a max offer from the dysfunctional New York Knicks, choosing instead to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks. Since then, Monroe has been on quite the roller-coaster ride. Subjected to many trade rumors and being benched, Monroe never complained. When called upon, Monroe was a positive contributor to the Bucks team goals.
A consummate professional in all facets, Monroe played 81 out of 82 regular season games this season while starting exactly zero. Monroe was consistent averaging 11.7 points and seven rebounds while playing 22 minutes per game.

Though not a hit in Milwaukee, Monroe is a quality center. Ambidextrous, with great footwork and excellent hands, Monroe’s style of play is indicative of a time when centers ruled the NBA. However, Monroe has a player option worth $17.9 million for 2017. Bear in mind Greg Monroe is only 26 years old.
