Matthew Dellavedova

Things didn’t really pan out for Matthew Dellavedova after he left Cleveland for Milwaukee for 10 million a year over the next 4 years. He barely improved on his stats despite an increase in minutes, and the breakout of Malcolm Brogdon certainly doesn’t bode well. Milwaukee may be better off opening up some cap the door for an improved bench and Delly could use a change in scenery.

Dellavedova may not be a starter, but he can be an amazing 6th man. He brings he’s a scrappy player that defines “Brooklyn Grit” needs and can pop up and shoot 3’s as well. With LeVert moving to the 3, Dellavedova can take over the 2 from Rand Foye and avoid a point-guard logjam.

This deal would probably only bring a 2nd rounder or two, but it brings some more helpful experience and allows us to move on from a disappointing year from Foye. Championship experience certainly doesn’t hurt to have either.
