In the midst of a promising NBA career, Shaun Livingston was frozen dead in his tracks.  A devastating knee injury  snapped his knee like a twig. Most would crumble, some would maintain, but after all was said and done, Shaun Livingston thrived. That moxie alone, might be the primary reason why the Brooklyn Nets should reunite with him.

Basketball players and their former teams share a dynamic similar to dating couples – it’s complicated. But, occasionally you hear a success story of a couple after a dismal breakup and living happily ever after. It is not unheard of for a player to go through two separate stints with the same team. In fact, the most recent case study modeled on this very premise is none other than Lebron James. James famously came back to Cleveland and helped the Cavaliers win a championship last season.

For both Shaun Livingston and the Brooklyn Nets, the timing might be ripe for a reunion. After all, it was the Brooklyn Nets that helped Livingston resuscitate his career when injury almost cost him everything. With the likely loss of veteran guard Randy Foye, Shaun Livingston can come in and make an immediate impact.
