The 27th pick is more interesting. Is this the pick the Nets will surprise people? It very well could be. As stated before, the Nets are working out players who are not currently touted as ‘first-round’ talents. This pick could shock everyone, or, if the Nets choose not to use their 22nd pick on a ‘draft and stash’, this could be the spot as well.

ESPN draft expert Fran Fraschilla had this to say of the Latvian prospect:

"“I don’t want to say he’s Porzingis, but he’s a reasonable facsimile. I don’t want to give the impression he’s unathletic, because he’s not. He gives you length, he gives you shooting, he can protect the rim a little bit. He’s in that sweet spot. He’s more mature Rodions Kurucs. I don’t think he’s as good a prospect as the younger kid, but he’s been more of a factor.”"

Check out one of his recent outings, in which he scored 24 points.

Here are his highlights from his season at SMU. Ojeleye has a nastiness to him, and the Nets could use someone of that nature.

Take a look at Hart’s pro day. He claims to have changed his shot mechanics, and it certainly looks like it paid off. Also, at the 13 second point of the video, guess who’s standing on the baseline watching? You guessed it! Sean Marks.

Brooklyn will have options with this pick, and these are a few players I believe the Nets have their eyes on.
