Brooklyn Nets Can’t Forget About Valuable Veterans During Free Agency
Power Forwards
Omri Casspi – 29 years old, 5.9 PPG, 1.2 APG, 4.1 RPG
Omri Casspi moved around quite a bit last season, but could find a home this season as a backup power forward in Brooklyn. He is a career 36% shooter from three and can move well for a big man while running the floor. His ability to move makes it possible to slide him out to small forward to run a bigger lineup.

Casspi has shown flashes of good play throughout his career and is an ideal backup for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson or Trevor Booker at power forward. The Nets are in dire need of forwards with talent and Casspi is a good option if they miss on some bigger names.
UPDATE: Casspi has signed a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.
Jeff Green – 30 years old, 9.2 PPG, 1.2 APG, 3.1 RPG
Jeff Green has played good basketball every year that he has been in the NBA. He’s moved around a lot via trade, but has been productive at every stop. He’s big enough to play against larger players and quick enough to cover smaller ones.
If they Nets decide to trade Trevor Booker, then Jeff Green is a great replacement. He always plays with effort and can score from any spot on the floor. His style would blend nicely with the Nets’ offensive system because of the freedom it provides to make plays.
Ersan Ilyasova – 30 years old, 13.1 PPG, 1.7 APG, 5.8 RPG
Ersan Ilyasova has been linked to the Brooklyn Nets for what feels like forever now. Is this finally the year we see him in a Brooklyn jersey? Well, if he continues to play as well as he did in the 2016-2017 season, then he’d be a welcome addition.

Posting near career highs in points and rebounds, Ilyasova showed that he still has plenty left in the tank to offer a team. His best play came in his 53 games in Philadelphia, where he posted 14.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. It may be time to bring Ilyasova to Brooklyn.
