The Brooklyn Nets have made an effort to upgrade their backcourt during the offseason. They traded for D’Angelo Russell, and gave Jeremy Lin the weapons needed to be a floor general. But will the moves pay off?

This next season will be an important one for the Brooklyn Nets. They could potentially be in contention for a playoff spot after a wild offseason. With the Eastern Conference reeling after the loss of All-Stars like Paul George and Jimmy Butler, the Nets could take advantage.

However, the Nets will need its backcourt to step up. The guards at the one and two are Brooklyn’s new strength after the team traded franchise center Brook Lopez. They will need to step up, especially in light of the Nets’ weak frontcourt.
