5. Caris LeVert’s Ankle Breaking Crossover

Caris LeVert is another youngster and hopeful building block for the Nets. He had a breakout rookie season with statistics up near the top of all rookies. His cool temperament on the floor mixed with a little bit of swagger made him a fan favorite instantly.

Something LeVert showed he was good at right away was his ability to score. He is a creative scorer that had a bevy of moves at his disposal. He can also create for his teammates and handle the basketball with ease that compliments his scoring nicely.

His smooth movements with the basketball make him reminiscent of Joe Johnson. Fans can only hope LeVert can have a career as good as JJ. His style of play was on display in Miami on Jan. 25.

Late in the third quarter, Brooklyn was up 10 points. The Nets were setting up their half-court offense. The ball swung to LeVert on a screen, where he decided to put on the highlight reel moment for the home fans to see.

LeVert had the ball from the top of the three-point line and took two dribbles to the right of the lane. He cross-over dribbled through his legs while stepping back beyond the arc. This move sent Miami Heat guard Wayne Ellington crashing to the ground.

Capping off the highlight, LeVert looked down at his toes, making sure that he is completely behind the line, and then nailed a three-point shot. This play was one of many good plays by the rookie, and fans are hoping to get many more highlights like this for years to come.
