Sean Marks doesn’t appear to be done tweaking his roster. For weeks, the Brooklyn Nets have been linked to big man Jared Sullinger. On Friday, the rumor mill revealed another possible target. Tyler Zeller is on the Nets’ radar.

With just a few weeks left until training camp begins, every NBA team has little time to make any roster adjustments. At this point in the offseason, most signings are made out of a desire to flesh out the roster.

For the Brooklyn Nets, there is simply a need to fill out their depth chart in the post. With shooters at the guard and the wing spots, the team really just needs a rebounder and post player that can get the team easy buckets.

According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, Tyler Zeller could be that guy.

More from Nothin' But Nets

Zeller is on the Nets’ radar and has worked out with the team. With a need for depth behind Timofey Mozgov at the center spot, it makes sense the Nets would be interested in the University of North Carolina product.

Zeller is a five year NBA veteran. After playing two years with the Cavaliers, he was traded to Boston, where he spent the past three seasons. Zeller was a salary dump for the Cavaliers. Dealing him opened up the necessary cap space to sign LeBron James in the summer of 2014.

So far, Zeller has shown to be useful as a pro. As a mid-first rounder, Zeller was expected to be a quality starting option at the center spot. His career averages of seven points and four rebounds in 17 minutes per game is decent enough.

Looking further into it, Zeller has a below-average box-plus/minus. However, he is not a liability by any stretch. Zeller has good size at seven-feet, 250 pounds.

Zeller is an intriguing option for Brooklyn. He is very much on the team’s radar. It remains to be seen if he will be able to land a deal with the Nets.
