The Brooklyn Nets have a good problem. Most of their talent is flourishing in the preseason. Minutes will be tough to come by from the guards to the wings to the big men. That won’t be a problem for Nets rookie Jarrett Allen.

The Brooklyn Nets are blowing away expectations this preseason. Brooklyn has won all of their preseason games by a margin of 19 points.

Their latest triumph over the cross-town rival New York Knicks was a major statement. 34 points, whether in the regular season, the playoffs or even the summer league, is impressive. That they did it shooting 42 percent from the 3-point line and 50 percent overall is encouraging to say the least.

More from Nothin' But Nets

The Nets are winning and playing cohesively. Kenny Atkinson shouldn’t tinker around with anything. Especially his rotations.

He seems to have settled on a starting five that includes D’Angelo Russell, Jeremy Lin, DeMarre Carroll, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Timofey Mozgov. Behind Mozgov, Trevor Booker and Quincy Acy have done admirably at the center position.

Neither of those players are true centers though. Rookie Jarrett Allen is. So far, he has proven that he has a role on this Brooklyn Nets rotation.

Allen’s last game was his finest. Against New York, Allen’s play proved that he could do what the Nets need out of their bigs this season (four blocks and two rebounds in 12 minutes).

Allen’s offensive game is limited but that can be hidden within the Nets fast-paced free-flowing offense. He can finish ally-oops, and put-backs.

Allen has been efficient and productive. He has proven to be a better option than Tyler Zeller. His growth will be a plotline to watch for this upcoming season.

We will be able to view it firsthand. Allen has earned minutes this season.
