Prediction: Jeremy Lin

2017-18 Stats: 18 PPG, 4 AST, 16.4 PER, 1 GP

Jeremy Lin had a ton of expectations riding on his shoulders this season. With one season of experience of Kenny Atkinson’s offense under his belt, he was supposed to be the floor general. However, that expectation came crashing down when he tore his patellar tendon in his right knee in the first game of the season.

There is not much to be said about Lin. Although the Nets should be worried about the lasting effects of the injury, he is still the best point guard on the team. He is still the most veteran guard and the face of the Nets to some extent.

However, that does not mean he does not have competition. Spencer Dinwiddie has taken over in Lin’s absence. While Lin did a good job of leading the charge, Dinwiddie has been the offense’s spark plug. 2K might want to consider giving him a badge.

But, this is still Lin’s team. Veteran status goes a long way in the NBA. That, coupled with his winning resume (if you forget Houston ever happened) should solidify Lin’s spot at the one.
