Prediction: Caris LeVert

2017-18 Stats: 11.7 PPG, 3.5 TRB, 3.7 AST, 13.6 PER

Here is where things get interesting. The two players that have played the most minutes at the three are Caris LeVert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Hollis-Jefferson has also split minutes at power forward.

The real question here is which one of the two would be better in a different situation. That goes to Hollis-Jefferson, who we will get to in a little bit. But first, let’s address some of the players that did not make the cut.

First and foremost, Allen Crabbe is not starting small forward material. Not only has he played shooting guard 78 percent of the time, he also is not shooting the ball as hoped. Nor does he create a ton of offense. LeVert is both an okay shooter and a very underrated passer.

While you should not expect to be money from downtown, he is serviceable. Rather than just taking a contested jumper, LeVert has a knack for finding the open man.

Secondly while Harris is a great option at the three, like Crabbe, he is just a shooter. He does not rebound or pass at the same rate as LeVert.

If none of that matters, just take a look at LeVert’s growth this season. He has proved that he can step up. And if LeVert has grown this much this season, the leaps and bounds he can take next season are out of this world.
