Verdict: Not a Match

So simply put it doesn’t seem like Thomas would be a match for the Nets. This is not the old Nets regime. This is also not like any franchise currently in the NBA. The Nets have a certain way of doing things. The team like players that fit their system and they can develop. They like to bring along players slow. Simply put they like to do things their own way.

This team currently isn’t living in the moment, they’re looking toward the future. Thomas doesn’t fit in that future. They have a player in D’Angelo Russell who is their main focus. Will Thomas be okay playing second fiddle to a player who will be entering his fourth season? No one knows, but we also don’t know how many other options or destinations Thomas will have.

Next: Brooklyn needs to develop its talent

Thomas is a phenomenal talent when healthy. Not many players can score like him. But the Nets just aren’t the place for him this summer.
