The Brooklyn Nets have played with a different level of intensity over their last two games. The team begins a three game West Coast swing against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.

Tuesday’s loss in Cleveland was a hard fought one for the Brooklyn Nets. Despite the fact that they gave up 129 points, they were able to execute and play within their system. The passes were crisp, and the Nets got to the rim often.

The biggest takeaway from the game was D’Angelo Russell’s performance, as he looks to have regained his early season form. Russell, Dinwiddie and co. will look to attack against a Sacramento team that has the second worst point differential in the NBA.

The Kings come into the came tied for the second worst record in the league as well, at 18-43. They are led by veteran Zach Randolph, and exciting rookie De’Aaron Fox.

Sacramento averages just 99 points per game on the season. The Nets should be able to take advantage of their misses with transition offense.

The Kings are also second to last in rebounding, which Brooklyn tends to have trouble with. Jarrett Allen should have another good game in this match up, along with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Defensively, the Nets will need to account for Buddy Hield. The second year guard is a lethal three pointer shooter, averaging over 42 percent on the season.

Prediction

The Kings are struggling mightily coming into this game, having lost their last five games, and seven out of the last eight. The Nets appear to match up well both on the perimeter and down low. The key will be who can get the three point shot going, to prevent transition chances for the opposition. Brooklyn will have the edge on Thursday, with a 109-105 win.
