Brooklyn Nets: Which current players should be part of long-term plan?

The Brooklyn Nets have their eyes set on a bright future.  General Manager Sean Marks has done a good job so far in the rebuilding efforts and restoring the franchise.

The Brooklyn Nets in 2017-18 had another losing season, their fourth in a row, but it was not a disappointing season.

Brooklyn constantly struggled with injuries from opening night. These injuries sidelined the most recognizable Nets, but gave others an opportunity to make names for themselves.

The 2017-18 season showed Nets fans that winning is coming back soon and the rebuilding plan is working.

Despite battling season-long injuries that sidelined players such as Jeremy Lin for 81 games and D’Angelo Russell for 34, with others battling nagging injuries all season long, other players stepped up and showed abilities that hadn’t been seen before.

Most notably, Spencer Dinwiddie took charge in the absence of Russell in the second half of the season and played well enough to make himself a finalist for the Most Improved Player award.

Other young assets proved they have great talent and a bright future.

Marks has not listed the young talent he wants to keep and build around, but there are some of the players on the current roster that should be part of the long-term rebuilding plan.
