Brooklyn Nets: Which current players should be part of long-term plan?
Caris LeVert
Caris LeVert was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets with the 20th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. His first season was a good season for LeVert. He was a great asset off the bench and constantly worked on his development.
In the beginning of his second season, he had a slow start. He struggled to score off the bench and had trouble finding his confidence.
That slow start came to an end in November. On Nov. 14, he scored 15 points, shooting 6-for-7 from the field, against the Boston Celtics. This game built his confidence.

December was a huge month for the second-year small forward. He scored double digits in 13 of Brooklyn’s 15 games. LeVert’s best game in December came against the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 27, when he finished with 22 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
When everything was working for LeVert, injuries struck. He would end up missing eight games over an 11-game span.
LeVert returned to full action on Feb. 26 and played consistently. On March 4, LeVert scored a career-high 27 points against the Los Angeles Clippers, shooting 11-for-19 from the field and canning five three-pointers.
LeVert finished his sophomore season strong showing huge signs of development and confidence. He averaged 12.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
The Brooklyn Nets should keep LeVert as a key piece in their rebuilding efforts. It is too early to tell and not likely he is a future starter for Brooklyn but he makes a great sixth man.
